Meaco Awards

We love to put our dehumidifiers forward for tests against our competitors to see how we get on. We are delighted that our win rate is so high and that our products have been recognised time and time again as being the best available for consumers.

The first of our dehumidifiers to win an award was the Meaco DD8L which was awarded ‘Best on Test’ by the international boating magazine ‘Practical Boat Owner’ after extensive tests at the University of Southampton.

Next was the DD8L Junior which won a ‘Sailing Today Best Buy’ award after they too tested it against the rest of the market.

The big awards came in 2014 when Which?, the largest and oldest consumer organisation in Europe, awarded Meaco products two ‘Best Buys’ awards for the Meaco 20L Low Energy Dehumidifier and the Meaco DD8L.

The Meaco 20L Low Energy has topped the ‘Best Buy’ table every single year since, and the Meaco DD8L remains the highest scoring desiccant dehumidifier ever tested.

Further awards followed with the new Meaco DD8L Zambezi also winning a Which? Award and the Meaco 25L Ultra Low Energy picking up a ‘Good Housekeeping Tried and Tested’ award for its exceptional extraction rate combined with very low running costs and low noise level.

The Meaco DD8L Zambezi has also won awards from the Sunday Times newspaper as being the best dehumidifier to look after your car, while Good Housekeeping said of Zambezi “The Meaco DD8L Zambezi dehumidifier impressed us by scoring well at extracting moisture from an outdoor environment, so it’s ideal for garages or other outbuildings. It is nice and lightweight, so it’s also easy to move about with the added help of a carry handle.”

T3 magazine tested dehumidifiers extensively and made the Meaco 25L Low Energy Dehumidifier their number one choice, giving it a platinum award, while the Meaco DD8L came out tops in a desiccant head to head battle with it’s closest rival.
